🌿 PRODUCT
LA Piff is Clade9's own cross and one of the few strains here that names the city the brand came from. The jar reads as the bright side of the catalogue, since the J1 parent brings haze and Fig Bar anchors it. At seven grams this is the pouch rather than the jar, and it carries the LOW TOPS grade line on the front.
🏷 BRAND
Clade9 is a California breeding house that Dave Holmes started in 2009 as Cannagen and renamed in 2015, after the word for a branch on the tree of life. Holmes breeds in-house, and the brand lists every strain by terpene family instead of indica or sativa. That family name is the coloured line printed on the front of the pack. In New Jersey the flower comes from The QCC Group, in the old Mack truck plant in Plainfield.
🧬 LINEAGE
Clade9 lists LA Piff as J1 x Fig Bar, and it names Fig Bar as the mother. That is the interesting half: the heavier, older parent carries the seed, and the haze side arrives from J1. Both parents sit elsewhere on this shelf, so you can taste the whole triangle if you want to.
☀️ USE MOMENT
This one lands brighter than the rest of the Clade9 flower here, so it fits an afternoon better than a night. It works for company and conversation, and the Fig Bar side keeps it from getting jittery on the top end.
