🌿 PRODUCT
G13 from Clade9 is a house cross rather than the government-lab legend that shares the name, which is worth knowing before anyone tells you the story. The pack files it under Cheese + OG, a family Clade9 keeps for the funkier, sharper end of its catalogue. The seven-gram size arrives in the brand's matte black pouch, which carries the LOW TOPS grade line as well as the family line.
🏷 BRAND
Clade9 is a California breeding house that Dave Holmes started in 2009 as Cannagen and renamed in 2015, after the word for a branch on the tree of life. Holmes breeds in-house, and the brand lists every strain by terpene family instead of indica or sativa. That family name is the coloured line printed on the front of the pack. In New Jersey the flower comes from The QCC Group, in the old Mack truck plant in Plainfield.
🧬 LINEAGE
Clade9 lists its own G13 as Ghost OG, Purple Gorilla and Bubblegum, a published pedigree the house stands behind. There is a famous G13 legend involving a government lab, and it belongs to a different plant entirely. The Cheese + OG family line on the pack is the better guide to what this one actually is.
☀️ USE MOMENT
Cheese + OG is where Clade9 files the funkier, sharper flower, and that reads as an evening jar with more character than weight. It works well for company, because a strain with a story in the name gives people something to talk about.
🎵 SONG PAIRING
Sun Ra - "Space Is the Place" - myth-heavy, and the playing is completely real.
